I've tried to stay out of this entire mess, because in my view, I'm in no position to tell Dark Force what he can or can not do on his own site. He's worked long and hard on several projects, and if he feels he's due a little compensation, more power to him. If people are willing to shell out money after playing patches with his high quality work, that's perfectly fine. Who are any of us to say any different. We can all play this high and mighty game of "I'm better than him. I'd never do anything like that." all we want, but it doesn't make us any better. We're all leechers in one way or another anyway. We're either leeching praise, or aproval, or money, or pleasure from seeing our own accomplishments, or some other odd thing.. it's all the same. You can call up what ever "slipery slope" arguement you want to say it's a lame thing to do. I won't stop you. I just want to point out how lame this entire thing is. Don't we have games to hack or something more productive to do with our time than sit around bitching about how someone's doing something sacrasanct to our all holy belief in the one true motivation for romhacking? I mean, seriously people.. I'm sure he knows damn well what he's getting himself into. And if he doesn't, that's just all well and fine because he isn't you and you aren't him. ASCII and Kanjihack is a perfect example here, because it proves that what he's doing has - nothing -, I repeat, - nothing - to do with you. If he gets busted, taken to court, taxed, taken to singapore and whipped with a cane, it doesn't affect you in the slightest. These long threads and bitchy comments have been going on for quite long enough thank you. It's time to move on.
