I like doing the work and everything, but that'd be the sort of obligation that I really don't think I'd want. If anything, I've been toying with the idea of setting up a few cafepress shops with a number of different t-shirt designs, so people could still contribute a little if they wanted and they'd get a t-shirt for their trouble. (Not to mention that -I'd- buy most of the t-shirts myself... ^_^)

As even if you don't want it to,people would still think that since they are sending money to you even if they get a shirt, they still some how deserve something. Not to mention you are in some way making a profit off of your hacking work.
After seeing Ipkiss start a shop of his own about a year ago, I wanted to do one with the Konami characters from the games I've translated or am in the process of translating [Wai Wai World 2, Kid Dracula, sekrit projects number 3 & 4].
I see what Gideon means, though. Having a shirt done just the way you want it, with the design of your choice, is something I'd be willing to create a CafePress shop over. But, since koitsu doesn't want people making money off of Parodius [the link would be on the website], I would make the store charge the absolute lowest price possible, so I wouldn't get any money and CafePress got all the earnings. That and Konami would sue my ass off for trying to put their characters in T-shirts. ;p
